GREYSTAR ZILLMERE – MAJOR DEMO PACKAGE
What we did
- Demolished 2 major industrial sheds, 4 structures, and 2 private dwellings, safely managing extensive asbestos.
- Achieved outstanding green star ratings through extensive recycling of concrete waste and completed the project with no safety or environmental incidents.
- Delivered the full civil package, including earthworks, retaining walls, stormwater drainage, and road pavements, following the demolition.
Overall Outcomes
This project involved the demolition of 2 x major 10,000m2 industrial sheds, 4 standalone structures and 2 private dwellings.
Extensive asbestos uncovered throughout the demo activities was successfully and safely managed by the LANDY team and their demolition consultant. Outstanding greenstar ratings were also achieved through extensive recycling of concrete waste for re-use in the formation. LANDY successfully delivered this project with no safety or environmental incidents.
The site is bordered by operational industrial businesses, private residences, local car parking and the Zillmere Train Station. After successfully delivering the demolition package, LANDY were engaged to deliver the full civil package of works for this industrial development.
The project involved the ERSED Management, clear & grubbing activities, ~35,000m3 of bulk earthworks cut to fill, retaining walls, stormwater drainage and concrete structures, road pavements, hardstand construction, AC and kerb & channel.
